Heard about this on the radio today. Seems Lord Waterford (whoever he is) is seeking a new butler - no experience reqd. There was a bloke on the radio who runs a Butler Agency Worldwide and he said some get paid £130k pa.

Still a nice chunk of change. I'd take the job and use my wages to train a few monkey butlers to do all the work for me, the toff will never know the difference.

Nice house and a fairly sound guy (I've only met him once).

Hmmm - presumably if Lord Waterford is advertising 'no experience required', he's not planning on going near the €100k mark. Still, €50k plus room and board for basically looking after one person's needs - even if it's pretty demanding - is a good proposition. It's also one of those jobs where you'd hardly have time to spend your money, unless the coke and hookers came through the service entrance. Good for a bookish mid-twenties chap to do for a few years while saving for a deposit.

Not a bother.............he wouldn't even have to use vaseline on me......i'd let him in "au natural" for that money

They are. Only they're generally referred to as Wives...

My entire knowledge of butlers comes from 'Remains of the Day'. I'm going to assume I'll have to pander to the lords anti-semitic views, whilst neglecting my possible relationship with the housekeeper.

Even if was worth 10 million euro, I would do that job for 100k a year. 99.99% of people would jump at that job I'd say.

The place looks lovely. Mightn't be a bad job at all.

Though, most lords being bent as a lord, you could be earning your money.
