    Does anyone know whether lectures are going ahead next wednesday seeing as it is the College Open Day?

    Last year everything was cancelled until 4, save for some labs. We didn't really find out until the last minute though.

    CS students got this email on Wednesday:
    Dear students,

    Please note that Open Day 2010 takes place next Wednesday, 1 December 2010. All lectures are cancelled on this day. Laboratories are permitted to take place after 3pm.

    I asked about this last year. In my department, only 'Large Group' teaching (ie big lectures) were cancelled; small-group teaching like seminars for Sophister students went ahead though, as none of those rooms were required for the Open Day. So if you haven't heard, the best bet it probably to check with your dept.

    Same as the above an classes that are on in the main theaters of the Arts Block are generally cancelled, whereas the ones from the third floor up normally go ahead.

    On for Med students...

    Annd, we're shifted off to a lecture theater a Luas away for them.

    JS Chem labs in the morning are off but the afternoon session (2-5) is still on anyway.

    Do you think the open day will still be on with all the snow? Lot of people won't be able to travel, especially if they're coming from out the country.

    Said today it might be cancelled if it's too snowy... Hope to fuck it's not because I'm meant to be getting paid to stand around in a bright t-shirt...

    Also, our lecturer still insists our Pharmacology lecture'll be on. Heh. Yeah, we'll see..
