Looking for Good websites for sourcing second hand gear...

Obviously Adverts.ie would be the first place I'd look, outside of that I have tried Funky junk and sonic circus both of whom I've got stuff off before just like to know if there are any other good places out there for second hand gear that people could reccomend that have good inventory of second hand gear and more importantly people can vouch for having used them and got good gear in working order... always wary of spending money on ebay to have something shipped from japan with very little come back if its not really what you thought you were getting so love to know about specialist sites people have used and found good

Try your local retailers - they might have ex demo/ display units which are nearly always good buys. Big Bear,Audio Wharehouse,X Music,Sudio solutions to name a few Dublin region based.

Re websites Boards as you say is pretty decent mainly because there is no seller fees unlike Ebay and others which in turn mean buyer gets better value.
If you can't get joy from irish retailers re second hand gear Thomann, Kmr audio also have used sections.
If I were you I'd post what your looking for in boards or equivilent you may be surprise how many studios now are willing to let go of perfect good gear that is now becoming surplus to needs!

**I know this may rub people up the wrong way** but if you can buy from irish companies given the option, it has an hugh positive effect on the whole Irish industry which may in turn benefit you

Gumtree is definitely worth a look also, sometimes you'll find stuff on their that is not on adverts.ie

The only site i know of besides funky junk is:

    http://www.whybuynew.co.uk/

They're UK based, and are on ebay also.

I have never bought from them but i know a guy in England who can vouch for them, as he had no problems.

I know most of the local places alright and happily go there first. I'm not really looking for anything at the moment just trying to suss out options. I have used funky junk in the past and they are great, just trying to see if there are others like them out there that do the same sort of thing and people have used and can vouch for ...

Put second hand gear into googleand there aresites for days so just trying to use other peoples experiences to filter down the options

Will check out that why buy new Ta....
