www.hofmann.es spanish photobook site

Hi folks, regular posters here may be sick of photobook site questions, but here's one more

Searching this forum I see that blurb.com is highly recommended. But has anyone used http://www.hofmann.es/ and can give me a heads up on their quality? For me now I have it narrowed down to these two.

I got married recently and last weekend created and ordered 4 books for parents etc. The 4 of them came to 206 including shipping, thats for 4 x 54 page A4 hardcover books, and they have been shipped via UPS and should be arriving Monday or Tuesday. I saw a couple of their books before and thought they were very good.

The software is easy to use but lacking in backgrounds but other than that it's a cinch. The big drawback for me is that there is a barcode on the bottom left of the back cover which cannot be removed but for that price you can't really argue to be fair.

I would highly recommend www.shakespearephotobooks.com for price quality and delivery. Software is easy enough although I build my books in photoshop or indesign and then just drop pages in as full page backgrounds which works brilliantly. I also liek to stay Irish if possible so check them out!

Shakespeare Photobooks are printed in the UK. Nice quality as are Photobooks from Blurb.

I had looked at www.shakespearephotobooks.com and would be all on for using an Irish company but unfortunately for an approx 50 page hardcover the price rises fairly rapidly.

Congrats djd80 on your marriage I've been looking st their software and I agree the backgrounds are lacking. My book is to cover a trip up through Latin America so I should have some light scenery shots to blend in.

I meant to reply to this thread a while ago but forgot about it. I ordered 4 books from Hofmann, they arrived by courier less than 10 days later which I thought was pretty good.

Overall I was very happy with the book, a few pics below..

Have used Hofmann.es previously for a Cruise photoalbum and delighted with results - good images, easy program to download, install, and use. This time for some unknown reason Hofmann program freezes when reaching the payment part of the process so after all that work ........!
Contacted Hofmann and they replied promptly with a request for the impossible! lol!
But I would recommend them certainly if the problem is on my side and not on the side of the Hofmann program.
