NBA Jam availability ?

Anyone know if retail are stocking this today ? Local Gamestop haven't got it (for 360 or PS3) and were not sure they would be getting it !?

The PS3 and 360 version are available to buy now. They are listed on play.com for €35. I'll be getting it at Christmas.

Right. Managed to find a copy for the 360 (€35) in Gamestop parkway. They got one copy only in ffs ! But its mine now

Hmm I heard an NBA jam remake was coming to PS3 but I pictured it as a DLC game I'd play when the mates are around, few cans and some 2v2 over the top 2d basketball action. For like 14 euro or something at most.


But its an actual full game? Dunno if its worth it as a fully priced game

I dunno, really seemed like the perfect DLC game. For quick fun 4 player gaming. bah. I think it'd have done better with just a more basic version with full multiplayer , cheaper price and downloadable.

Played it at the EA showcase. It really is stupidly good fun. If you liked the original you'll love it. You'll get it a lot cheaper, probably DLC prices, on Zavvi or Sendit as well.

So is worms, but that's sold as downloadable for a tenner and not 35 quid in a shop with better single player modes.

Yeah good point, something to check out alright. Still maybe its me but I'm thinking they'd have got more sales and made more money if they took the approach I'm talking about.

1st time I heard about this, I was told you had to buy some other basketball game 1st, then you received an unlock code which then allowed you to buy and download the game. (Utterly retarded) But later this limitation was removed which led me to the assumption it was gonna be a DLC game. Ah well.

It was NBA Elite 11, and the download code gave you NBA Jam for free, not just the chance to buy it. Elite 11 was cancelled so now EA are releasing NBA JAm as a full retail release.

Would have made more sense to just release it as a downloadable game though.

Ah good. As what I heard was insane. Forcing you to buy one game just so you can buy the other. That would have been pretty messed up.

I think they knew they had a stinker in Elite 11 and were hoping people would buy it just for NBA Jam (which I nearly would've). Now that they've completely cancelled Elite 11, they've just gone ahead and released NBA Jam on its own.

I had to pre-order mine (in GS Dungarvan), didn't see it for sale anywhere.

It's not a full price game, it's €35 in the shops. The version that was going to be downloadable would have just been the basic game, without any of the Jam Challenges or the Remix Tour mode. I'm really enjoying the game so far, but I've mainly been playing Classic Campaign.

Have you managed to get a game online yet ? Everytime I've tried it says there are no games available! Whats your tag ? Maybe we can play a few games.

A travesty that this game is being ignored by the shops. Just ordered it online there from Amazon. €30 with free delivery.

€40 in GAME, so I left it. Their prices have been creeping up a lot recently, both NBA Jam and Prince of Persia Collection were cheaper in Gamestop of all places.
