hi we have a TRITON AS2000X POWER SHOWER, 3 years old and the other niight it started to play up. Its making unusual sounds. the best way i can explain it is like its revving up, then down, then revving up again. Water is flowing ok but the temp is not right. Tank in hot press is full of hot water yet hot water only comes out of the shower for about a min, then cold again, then hot for 20 sec again then cold. very frustrating.
If anyone has any advice that would be great.

There is not much can go wrong in these its usually only the pump or the stat.

As yours does not have a stat it prob is the pump. Are you confident enough to open it and look for signs.

Are you in a hard water area...Is there a chance the head is blocked.

Check the head first- it may just need to be cleaned out. If it's getting clogged up with lime or the like the sound is the system trying to keep up the pressure.

If not, give the Triton crowd in Maynooth a buzz- they'll probably be able to tell you over the phone what the problem is without getting an engineer out, cos they've heard it all.

ho folks, the head is not blocked water is flowing out fine but with no real pressure.
the pump sounds like somone is 'revving it up and then down'. this is the best way i can describe it.
I am confident to open it up and check it out. what should i be looking for?
we have another one of these showers downstairs in the disabled toilet that is not really used. should i transfer the pump from that shower to the problematic one do you think?

The water feed pipe into could be partly frozen somewhere along route. Happened to me last year. I fitted insulation tube along feed pipe in attic & problem did not come back.

That happens with our shower all the time and its caused by hard water a build up of limescale. Clean the head it may be partially blocked and take off front cover there should be a filter there that you clean out.

    thanks for the help guys.
i said i would call Triton and have a chat to them about it.
have to say fair play to them. the shower is 3 yrs old, but we only moved into the house a yr ago so they are honoring the gaurantee as long as i can prove i only bought the house last year which i can so i am expecting an engineer out within the next 3/4 days.
