    GP's never mention the Injection to me. My ex mentioned his ex used to take it. Can someone give me internet advice as to where i can find more info about it? Do you get periods while on the injection? Is it possible to get a pill these days which stops your periods? I know one exists, but will GP's actually give it out??

    My GP prescribed me the NUVA Ring, but when I went to the chemist i realised it was actually a ring to put inside all the time and that the price tag was 100 euro as oppose to 10 euro i was paying for the pill.

    I am in a foreign country and have tried to ask for advice here before but keep getting fobbed off because its a medical question....but none of the doctors speak English, which means no birth control, which means ive not had sex for 2 years.

    I would love to have a name or link for these injections? How do you ask the GP to give them to you?? Is there a special reason or you can just ask?? I found the GP gave me little options besides dianette, yasmin and yasminelle....

    Of course i will check the GP...but if i had a name, i could work with GOOGLE TRANSLATE to see what its called in this countries language and suggest it to my GP.

    Thanks alot thats fantastic. The reason being was because i was put on Dianette because of my Acne when i was 20 and still a virgin.

    When GP's mention what ive used in the past, they continuously put me on Dianette...but ive had extreme adverse mood reactions to it and they never seem to listen. At least if i can research the names of other options, i can inform myself and enquire further with the GP and bring up the option. Im suprised none of them will discuss other options with me. I did ask GP's about the injection, but they always shy away from it...ive suspision that it is because maybe they get commision from some drug companies to promote certain drugs etc..

    I would love to look into taking the injection further.
