I'll be driving back from the Top Gear Festival in Citywest (edge of Dublin) to Kilkenny tonight at some time after half eleven. Any idea of what the roads will be like? Is heavy frost/snow possible? I'll have five youngsters in the car so am getting a bit nervous. Is the motorway likely to be gritted at that time of night if frost has set in? Thanks.

yes I'd be very surprised if that motorway wasn't gritted by then.
The gritters are sent out depending on road temps.
Thats a very inland route so mightn't see snow untill saturday.
    Take it handy and slow.
Better to arrive later and safer.
