Hi all. I'm going for one of these:
    http://www.powercity.ie/?brands=SAMSUNG&pages=1&par=10-14

I know it's probably not a great one, but I'm not too flush at the moment. I have upc digital at home, not hd. What will I need to get me up and running with regards to leads etc?. And does anyone have any thoughts on this set?
    Thanks in advance.;)

Op, why not go for the Panasonic alternative for just 70€ more?

The thing with Samsung plasma's is that they have a bit of an issue with image retention. Not only would the black level be better on the panny, it would probably be better built, and retain some of that value better if you sell it on. Its not as stylish as the samsung obviously but, it is the better tv, i have no doubt in my mind

I would go for the LG 50PK350 in that price range.

Have you got one? Why is it good?

I got the 50PK760 from pixmania.

Same panel but with a different design and a few bits the 350 doesn't have, like wifi THX mode and the like.

    It is an excellent display.

If you go over to AV Forums and have a look in the LG section, everyone is raving about the PK series.
