Repair or scrap

Heya, I recently flipped my car over, being the great driver that I am and my var is pretty damaged. I know it's pretty useless asking this without pictures, but I don't have any as my cars off at my friend's house near where I crashed and I wanna get this sorted out asap.

Anyway, i just wanted to know if there's any possibility of saving this car or if it's gonna cost more than a new one. It's a ten year old micra that I got for a little over a grand and a half and the engine seems fine, in fact the only thing under the bonnet that's damaged seems to be the heater. The other damage is as follows:

Front windscreen is damaged beyond repair,
Back windsreen and front passenger window are shattered.
Roof is pretty bashed in, to the point that I can't close my boot properly, but it's only a little bit lower than it should be.
    The bonnet won't close properly
The heater is bent and partially broken, as mentioned
Most of the lights are broken, except for the two back ones, although the middle break light (the one in the back window) is broken too.
One of the wheel's axles is slightly bent.

If you can't guess because that is too vague then just assume the minimum amount of damage possible for each of those features and teel me what you think. I wanna know whether it's worth getting it looked (so can it even possibly cost me less than 1.5 grand to repair) or should I just give it to Leon's in Arklow, since they said they'd give me €100 for it.

    Thanks

It sounds like structural parts are damaged, like the axle. There could be more chassis damage you can't see.
I suggest you start looking at other old Micras and maybe keep the stuff that's not damaged from the crashed car and use that to improve the newer car.
    But that's me.

If the roof is bashed in the cars structural integrity is probably compromised and its a write off.

Roofs are not replacable, they're a critical part of the shell.

edit: didn't even read that its a ten year old Micra. Scrap it. you won't even get a tiny bit in to the repairs before you've spent its value.

For 1.5k you could probably sort out all the parts needed from a breakers and still have a good bit of change left over.

However what you have described in damage is only what you can see as their may also be chassis kinks and whatnot, and at the end of all of it its still going to need painting.

If it was me Id let it go to the scrapper.

EDIT,,the two lads got there ahead of me.

With the kind of damage you describe, you couldnt even dream of repairing it. Get another micra. IN the mean time, take anything good off the crashed one and store and let the shell away for scrap.
To be honest, I dont even think a €30,000 car with that kind of damage would be worth fixing.

We had a driver roll a 9 month old Golf 1.9Tdi with 18,000km a couple of years ago. Damage was similar to what you describe and that was written off because the roof was bent.

Bit of damage on a few of the side panels and a wrecked alloy was about all the rest of the damage. Engine was still running fine, but the roof was enough to see the end of a car with a PAV of €21,000.

Scrap and pick up something else. Be thankful it's only the car that's the write off.

Yes there are critical, but they can also be replaced.
Once it's done correctly and to a high standard, there won't be any
    weakening to the cars structure.
It wouldn't be cost effective on a ten year old Micra though.

I wouldn't get in to let alone drive a car with welds on all pillars. No matter what it was, ten year old Micra or 2 month old BMW.
