Somewhere in Wales for Christmas??

    We live in southwest England and for Christmas are planning a ferry home to Ireland to see the family and then back around the 23rd to spend 4 or 5 days in a hotel somewhere in Wales. I don't know Wales at all so hoping someone can give me a few ideas!

    A smallish town with a few lovely pubs and 1 or 2 restaurants would be perfect! By the coast would be more perfect!! Don't like those spa hotels but anything else would do! Any help greatly appreciated! :)
