Just a question wondering how people rate handling on mk5 golf. I myself own 07 golf van and have had one or two bad skids in relatively reasonable weather conditions. i'm just not that convinced there a great car for handling on corners.

handling is about 70 percent down to the tyres, what type have you, condition?

Is the van fitted with ESP (stability control)? When the wheels start to lose grip does an orange warning light come on showing a car with wavy skid marks behind it?

Is there a black button with 'ESP' on it just forward of the gear stick?

put two new bahrne tyres on front just two months ago tyres on back are nankangs at about 60 per cent as for my drivin dont drive over fast into corners wouldnt be slow now either just fairly average. yeah there is esp on it and you see when tyres are skidding with orange blinking light

Tyres sound like ditch finders. Reckon that's your main problem there

yeah i know nankangs are fairly poor alrite but still reasonable wear left on them id say your right though will need to definetely invest in new rubber.
