Looking to replace my htpc with a dedicated device. Currently I've a PC in an Antec Fusion case but it's just too big. So I want to replace it with a smaller device. I just saw an Iomega Studio Director HD 2TB model for €189.

It looks like it's more or less what I'm looking for but ideally I'd like a device that I can FTP or SSH to to transfer files to the device remotely. If I can ssh to the device and run a cli ftp client I'd be happy as a pig in muck. Anyone know of any such devices?

I filled a 1Tb Iomega drive for a friend last year, although it was advertised as having a gigabit port, it gave painfully slow transfer speeds and took me 3 days (and nights) to fill 1TB (i've a gigabit network). Never again
