"For many bands, losing their singer just two months after unleashing their breakthrough album would equate to a serious drag in momentum. But then, Your Demise aren’t most bands; nor are the southern UK quintet adverse to problems.

Equipment theft? Check. Multiple line-up changes? Check, and make that thirteen. Motorway breakdowns? You bet, including a time when the side door of their tour van literally fell off in the fast lane of the M1. And how about the 24 hours the members of Your Demise spent in solitary confinement in a Belgian prison…

But are they still here, still hungry, still going stronger than ever? Check, check and check again. Indeed, Your Demise’s five year rise from humble beginnings in scout huts and youth clubs has never been a smooth ride, but it’s these very trials and tribulations that have scarred, defined and moulded them into a feral force of energy, aggression and irrepressible ambition.

Since vocalist Ed McRae joined the ranks of the band mere months after the May 2009 release of their Visible Noise/Earache Records debut ‘Ignorance Never Dies’, Your Demise have quite literally toured relentlessly, trawling across UK and Europe with Misery Signals, Raised Fist and The Devil Wears Prada on back to back runs.
Then, in January 2010, Your Demise hit US shores in full stride alongside The Ghost Inside and For The Fallen Dreams… and they have not stopped since, only taking a breather for a 12 hour flight back to the UK for a one week sold out tour of their home turf with A Day To Remember, before heading straight back stateside again for a adrenalised performance at South By South West 2010 and even more back to back touring alongside Born Of Osiris, Unearth and Stick To Your Guns.

Your Demise will close out 2010 by promoting their brand new album "The Kids We Used To Be" on the Never Say Die Tour with the likes of Parkway Drive and Comeback Kid before hitting Ireland for 4 dates to start off what is sure to be a great 2011."

"Creatively inspired by such eclectic artists as Nirvana, Rival Schools, Go It Alone, Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth and Blink 182, ‘Far Q’ is a powerhouse of urgency and punk catharsis seamlessly blended with seriously infectious melody and reverence for the simple, persuasive power of ‘The Song’. And atop it all sit Mike Duce’s lyrical narratives, self-reflective and cunningly observational in equal measure, simultaneously elegiac and brimming with fervent wit. One moment you’ll nod with vigorous agreement as he lambastes generational apathy on ‘Down With The Kidz’ or ‘I’m Not Bulimic (I Just Wanted To See How Far I Could Stick My Fingers Down My Throat)’, the next you’ll grin ear to ear as ‘A/S/L?’ or lead single ‘Taping Songs Off The Radio’ offer up wry commentaries for life on the Internet - but, before you know it, you’re staring into the wide open veins of ‘Face Full Of Scars’ and the album’s title track.

‘Far Q’ is the sound of Lower Than Atlantis playing and purging like their lives depended on it – three guys playing for the love of music, playing for themselves, and in the process creating a striking partnership of music and message that is set to strike a chord with many.

Honest and tragicomic, versatile and enigmatic, Lower Than Atlantis are the sound you can’t quite put your finger on, ‘Far Q’ their calling card. Here’s to new beginnings.

Listen to some tracks from it on the Myspace and pick it up at the show."
