MMDS reception

I've recently moved (sight unseen!) to a bit of a tv blackspot in Wexford.:(

My motorised dish was installed and picks up Hotbird and other satellites, but nearby buildings mean that Freesat channels are not receivable.

There were also no terrestrial aerials, but i've got Saorview one up there now. If i wanted Freeview i'd have have to go considerably higher. While he was up on the roof, the installer confirmed that he was blocked for Freesat even at that height. I can see that my neighbours seem to be mainly pointing at foreign sats.

UPC told me that i could get cable in my area and there were previously UPC points in the house. However the UPC installer rang me when i was at work (so I didn't get too indepth about it at the time) and said that due to recent building developments i couldn't get UPC MMDS there, unless i went up fairly high as well. He seemed to think it wasn't an option. Haven't saved the number, so couldn't ring him back to check.

Any ideas if its worth pursuing this? I was happy enough previously with freesat channels, some sport on Hotbird and my Irish channels. What kind of setup would a MMDS aerial require? (never used this before).

Any hope of getting the Beebs back in my current lease?
