Are the media on the Dail gravy train?

I briefly heard some journalist saying on the radio today something along the lines of them (the media) suffering cuts in the Dail. I didn't quite get the jist of it but are they being paid by the government to hang around there, or do they get free offices and communication facilities etc.?
