For our year, the amount of material on Paper 2 is being reduced, we only have to study 5 poems and 5 pros (as opposed to 17 and 10 respectively).
Do we still need to study Stair na Gaeilge and a play?

As far as I'm aware you can either do stories or one big play, and we're doing An Triail (sp?)

Stair na Gaeilge is gone, but has kind of been amalgamated into the poetry question, but I think all that craic about the development of the language and history is gone.

My teacher told us today that you'd have to study one big play or do five extra specifically chosen higher level poems - he's a valid source of information and he was definitely talking about what the leaving cert will be like after 2011 but that's all he said.

Yep scuid mhór is right except it is not just a play, there are other texts you can choose instead. Our teacher has decided on this one text instead of the five poems for us. However, we are choosing the text after we examine the over Christmas in groups.
