TV Licence..can i get my money back?

Hi everyone..my first post/thread so i hope im doing this right??

while renting accommodation as a student last year the tv licence inspector called! not what we were hoping but we went ahead and got a licence
My problem is that we only lived in the property for 5 months after buying a tv licence for a year?

does anyone know where we might stand with this? can we go back to the letting agency and see if they owe us for the remaining months of the licence since we all moved out or is it simply our misfortune?

you can transfer it to a different address.

It's the person named on licence that has it, not really the premises.

thanks! i thought that might be the case but there is already a licence for the tv at my new address

You might get date extended
Ring the TV lincence people.
