06 VW Golf- problem with ABS pump

    hi folks,
    i have the traction light constantly on my dash and i got a mate to give me his diagnostic tool so i can suss it out.
    the error came up under brakes and it was:-"01435 brake pressure sensor 1 4201"
    A mate reckons it is the ABS pump and will cost a fortune to fix.
    has anyone any second opionions on this? there is no change in performance in the car since this light came on but still i am worried.

    any comments appreciated.

    It needs to be fixed, won't pass an nct with the light on.

    The unit can be repaired for about half the cost of a new one, I think logic automotive repair them.
