Anyone else find their accuracy is much higher in this game? Granted mine was pretty shyte in MW2 (thank you akimbo glocks/p90s) but my stats are 50% better in BOps. Some of this is down to using the M16 more than anything else and possibly not putting extra bullets into dead bodies or maybe it will just revert back over time. I'm

I would guess it's because of the M16 compared to akimbo in MW2, if you shoot at someone with 3 burst with the M16 and hit them with 2 bullets from 3 of the burst thats just under 50% accuracy, I'd say you'd be hard pushed getting that kind of accuracy with any akimbo sub machine guns.

My accuracy has dropped, but it's been dropping for the last few COD games by a few % every time

I think in BO it's mainly down to using an SMG for the most part and I'm trying my hand at getting better with a shotgun and sniper too.
I should I sniped for a large part of COD4, less so in MW2 and even less so in BO so that's probably a factor too.

Since I stopped using the M16 my accuracy has dropped but it was never very good to begins with :pac: I do find though that the single-shot and burst shot rifles are best for improving accuracy figures.

accuracy is more to do with playstyle than actual aim imo

I agree accuracy means piss all in this game just like K : D, In fact I wish the in game menu would not show K : D in CTF and DOM modes...that way people would actually try to play the mode as it should be.

I think this must be it. Near the end of MW2 I started using the M16 and just carried over using it in BOps. My accuracy in MW2 was under 15% but is currently over 25 (temporarily no doubt).

Mine was about 21% in MW2, but its only 15.5% ish in BLOPS


I put it down to the sniper rifles being a pain to use. I did a fair bit of (non-QS'ing) sniping in MW2, which definitely boosted my accuracy stats. Barely touched em in BLOPS

Indeed - it's a bit annoying when you lose a game of DOM because people are fighting in the middle of nowhere

Same here I just choose an approximate direction where I have a rough idea of an enemy's location (unless I can clearly see the enemy), and mow it down until something dies.

Although, I don't do that very often, I usually see people in the open

Anyone else think aim assist is a lot more pronounced in black ops,maybe that has something to do with it,it sometimes locks on through cover or walls even.

agreed..in fact I'd go so far as to remove it completely or else heavily reward teamplay with 3x-5x what a kill would bring you so more people would play the way the game is supposed to be played.
HQ/Domination being a prime example..some little bastard camped away in a corner of the map not giving a rat's ass about his team but his k/d.
It's not just COD...remove it or reward teamplay more in Battlefield and pretty much any online FPS game..bar UT or quake obviously
