NBS Query

    Folks,

I was going to sign up for the NBS in an house we are renting, but I was wondering if I could use the equipment Three provide if we had to move into town on a temporary basis?

Not trying to take advantage, but wondering if I need to apply for mobile broadband again with Three if I move ?

Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm confused as to how the NBS works as we have very limited mobile coverage in our current location.

    Thanks for the help

3 Only have a Mobile Phone licence.

It's a Mobile Phone system. There is no NBS system.

They claim if you move outside an NBS area a different Cap applies. So watch your usage, They can't do anything else and even that may be exceeding their licence rules.

Thanks Watty - so the only difference is that you'll get a repeater if you purchase mobile broadband via the NBS scheme with Three ?

They only install the repeaters if there are issues. It's not standard kit. You can't move that with you, and you should inform Three if you're moving, as it could result in heavy penalties if you don't.

The Repeaters don't really work. It's a placebo to try and avoid installing expensive Satellite where the 3G/HSPA doesn't really work.

Other than cap and free upgrades to Repeater/Satellite etc there is no difference between NBS and non-NBS.
