To all of you who have suferred long term illness of any kind I thought I would share my story. Almost three years ago I was in a car crash and suffered from chronic pain in my neck back and shoulder. Ive tried everything and am currently getting a series of steroid injections to help with the pain. The pain still remains with me to this day but hopefully it can be managed.

Anyway last April I was diagnosed with cancer of the bladder. At 28 years of age I was told it was extremely unlikely that it was cancer. So i went in for a cystoscopy and unfortunately it turned out that I did indeed have cancer. So it finally sunk in, what was i gonna do, i had enough on my plate and now had this to deal with.

I decided to myself that although I had it bad I was still able bodied and had my wits about me. I continued on with my life trying to be thankful for all I had, plenty of support from family and friends who helped support me in the darkest of days.

Now on to the good news, I was in hospital today for a check up to see how the cancer was developing and to my and my specialists surprise it had completely disappeared, I was given two thumbs up and told to come back next year. I was given the all clear.

Im still coming to terms with it. Now although like i have said previously I dont have it as bad as some people I simply wanted to share a good news story to let people know, when you least expect it things can get better , life can turn around in a flash. Im still unable to work due to the back problems but by god I have so much to be thankful for. So there it is and hopefully at least one person reading this will take comfort from this message. To everyone reading this, things can change heres hoping.
