Facebook advertising

I am in the process of setting up an information provision business.

I need to advertise the availability of this information to 18-30 year old males in the republic.

Facebook seems to be the perfect way to target this market. I am having difficulty contacting Facebook regarding this.

Can someone here point me in the right direction or possibly give me an idea if I can target this market through Facebook and what the cost may be?

    Thanks.

In a nutshell, you pay per click through on your ad.

I think you can pay per impression as well but per click is obviously better value.

Create your ad here : http://www.facebook.com/ads/create/

And pick parameters based on who you want to target.

I think the costing is similar to google adwords where you bid for clicks, so price will depend who else is bidding.

    Thanks,

I had to oversell my advertising budget to be able to contact them but hopefully they can offer me a suitable product.

You don't really need to contact them to see the options available or to pick up the basics. If you check out the help section relating to ads, it answers most of the questions you might have.

It's worth doing a bit of reading on how to create the most effective ads, how best to manage your budget, etc. etc., but it's something that is very well covered across various websites and forums so lots of information to learn from.
