How come the TV licence fee is not going back to 2006 levels? ( Not sure if it has gone up since 2006 but why could it not go back by say 15%)

    What about electricity prices??

What else can go back to 2006 levels that can put money in peoples pockets without eating into the €16Bn cuts that are required?

How else can Joe Duffy, the champion of the working class, get paid more then the leader of our country for 1.5 hours a day, 40 weeks a year?

In truth is normally because of pay .. The ESB is particularly ridiculous in terms of wages . .

Ever notice where those who ring into Duffy get the time if theyre working?

Ignoring idiots who comment "far right" because they don't even know what it means

We need a slow, grinding deflationary spiral to make us competitive and to lay the foundations for growth and to correct the fact that we all earn too much for the amount of goods and services we produce.

The government want to slowly take money out of the economy and reducing the license fee would reduce the effectiveness of other tax hikes.

Can't help wondering if TD & Ministerial pay will go back to 2006 levels.....something tells me that it won't.

Odd how "we have the highest minimum wage in Europe" is highlighted by Lenihan, while he chooses to ignore the fact that "we have the highest-paid Taoiseach in Europe".

The word "fairness" doesn't exist in their world. Charter prevents me from adding the word that I believe describes their actions.
