just looking for some ideas guys. I'm trying to organize a meal for my class for the 10 of december and was wondering if you know anywhere in town that does deals for student or large groups. Have you ever had a meal/do thing with your class? Where did ya go? Have you been a class rep and had the mega pain in the ass that is organizing and trying to keep everybody happy.

    Thanks guys,
    Adam

We went to Thunder Road Cafe last year. Also went to Captain America's. Go somewhere that's cheap enough and does good deals on drink if possible.

Remember, you're never going to please everyone on the venue or date or time so just maybe have a choice between two, get your class to vote and go with the most popular.

TGI Fridays is great for groups, cheap cocktails and cheap enough food that everyone'll be happy enough with. Contact them first and ask for a group discount.

You could try the Porterhouse. It's worked well for club nights and has a good variety of food and alcoholic beverages from beer and porter, to cocktails and shorts.

Christmas Commons in the Dining Hall.

    There'll be a choir on December 10th.

€28 a head. Enquire at the Catering Office (back of Dining Hall, up the steps and press the buzzer)

Our class organised a big pot luck dinner in the GMB last year... twice... and we're having one again for Christmas this year.

Really nice idea! Everyone brings along a dish and the banter is had by all.

I've a reasonably big class though, mightn't work out for smaller groups.
