Feeding deer to keep them in an area

I'm seeing a good few deer on one strech of track where I shoot and was thinking along the lines of providing some extra feeding for them to try and keep them in the area.

So the question is what do I get? There is a local feed merchant nearby that sells catle feed by the sack but I'v no idea what to get.
Also would I just tip out some of the feed onto the ground to keep them around?

    Any idea's???

A small square bale of hay!
Only the deer will eat it, not any other animal/bird!

Apples can just be thrown on the ground.
Spread soya beans in small piles.
Mineral/salt licks put on trees, so the rain dissolves it and runs down the trunk.

I've never tried hay or silage but I'm sure it would work.
