Mass Unemployed protest in Ireland

    Not likely to see this heading on an international paper. Why is that ? Why with over 450000 unemployed in this small nation of ours are there so few people willing to protest over the way the country has been run and will be run over the next few years. Do we feel detached from it all !! Or are we just a nation of talkers with no action. It is our country after all not the politicans or the bond holders.:rolleyes:

    In a word, because they have been paid off by an inflated weekly payment.

    When they cut the payment back to more reasonable levels, then you will see the unemployed protesting.

    I don't think its actually alot to do with payments. I think you would have to look at the psychic of the Irish. There doesn't appear to be the "fighting irish" more the 'submissive', we will take any crap. We'll laugh and joke no matter what happens, to our own detriment.
