Where can one get clarification on eligibility for the Bike To Work Scheme?

The email address on the website has not answered any correspondence.

Which website? The only "official" one I am aware of is www.revenue.ie

You could always try the wiki - it's a mine of useful information

AFAIK salaried employees who are employed and paying tax in Ireland. Do you require any further clarification?

I have no doubt, but I need an official source for the information I need.

That is not the question. Thanks anyway.

I'd like to have a source for an official enquiry.

(I've said before, I have a particularly difficult colleague in HR who does not want to partake in the scheme, i,.e. does not want someone to be seen to get any extra benefit.)

That is not an official source -it's simply a Green Party website - the only place you can get official confirmation is the Revenue

You will need to approach your employer's tax inspector directly

...oh, and if the question is still "Can a home-based employee qualify?", the technical answer remains "No", but if you do strike lucky with your inspector, make sure you get it in writing:)

    Is this any use http://www.biketowork.ie/

Thanks, but it's not any good, it's a private company who offer to do the spade-work in return for the discount you would receive if you do it yourself.

I'll ping Revenue and see what they say.

While there is some useful information on that site, they are just a company that acts as a sort of "one stop shop" for employers availing of the scheme. It doesn't really meet the criterion of being an "official" source.

Edit: Gophur himself snuck in ahead of my slow-ass typing
