Probably been covered but Government wage cuts?

    I would be surprised if this has not been discussed but surely the government, which was unbelievably overpaid should take a massive wage cut?
    Not sure if its still the case but was Bertie not making more than the US president?

    A slash of 50% could make a big difference, in fact a cap of €100k might be a good idea in any state position.

    TD's also have financial commitments based on their salaries.

    I know they need to be cut but 50% would probably drive many to bankruptcy.

    We need to reform expenses massively so they can't be exploited and reduce their pay 20% IMO.

    They are covered by Croke Park as their wages are linked to senor civil servants - you didn't seriously expect them to change anything that woudl stop them lining their pockets are you? the cap of 100k you say might be a good idea.....

    it would be the right and proper thing to do. This has now become a complete joke.

    I hang my head in shame as one of the people who voted for them during the good times. Then I find out about all the lies in the last year.
