    Hi
I have sold my old yamaha receiver with no hdmi and now looking to buy one with hdmi
    my requirements are:

5.1 for tannoy speakers and sub
require one cable to tv from different inputs of hdmi, composite/component
should be able to handle hd audio, so need one cable from blu-ray to av receiver
if possible to allow video when av receiver is off (pass through i guess) - optional

can someone please suggest which is the cheapest receiver in market which can go well with my speakers

i watch a lot of tv and movies on my 46" LCD

have a look at the AVRecievers section on Richersounds. For €210, I'd read the specs but it seems to do the works.

Yeah - LPCM is where it's at, all the high end kids are doing it, so you can too.

HD Audio Bitstreaming is only for LED/display fetishists. My amp is in a cupboard so I don't care whether the player or amp decodes it as I won't see the light either way.

You'll just have to make sure the player can send Multichannel LPCM.
