    Hi everybody,

I had a mira elite 2 that I have installed myself a few years ago, the case got damaged and I needed to replace it.
I bought a mira sprint yesterday, fit it and then found out that has to be connected to the main water supply.....
I live in a bungalow and it wont be too difficoult putting a T on the main supply going to the tank up in the attic, can I do that?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. no need to remind me how stupid I have been...:o

You can do that. However like all mains showers you are dependent on pressure. The shower might not work correctly

If this happens you will need to connect the shower to a single impeller booster pump and take the old mira elite feed from the tank.

Better still. Just buy a simgle impeller booster pump and cut the line half way and connect it. Then you can fit the sprint.

    Thanks for your reply Joey

I got the mains from the well through a pressurised cilinder. that should be enough shouldn't it?

That means you have a well pump...You should be fine...

    No harm in trying...

Just another note on well water... The showers dont like the grit...

Well then dont be surprised if the solenoid valve gets messed up very quickly on the mains fed one..

But as you have the shower...

well Joey, seems to me like you know what you're talking about. I just bought a house and has a fitted electric shower. Is that Mira Sprint the OP is talking about.
Thing is that the pressure is a joke! all i know about plumbing is that is to do with water!! so i wont be able to fix my problem all by myself. Question is then, how much would a prof charge me for coming to have a look and have that booster pump installed if needed be?

    Thanks

I dont know tbh. But the agents for mira in ireland are modern plant on the naas road and i would call them and ask

tbh it might be just easier to get a plumber to install a single head booster.
