Hi I got a netbook recently and noticed I can upgrade the ram from 1GB to 2GB for approx €35 and was wondering would it be of much benefit even though the prosessor is a Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz. It will be used for basically browsing the net, Microsoft Office 2007 and college work. Thanks

well its going to be faster, but it depends on if you think its slow now or not.

windows OS's will benefit quite a bit from the upgrade so its a handy and cheap speed boost, particularly if you have multiple windows open at once.

most netbooks and laptops just have a panel on the bottom with a single small screw that you remove and just slot in the extra ramand away you go.

be sure to check first tho because some netbooks tend to have only one ram slot so you'll need to know if you're going to need 1x1gb stick to put in an empty slot or 1x2gb stick to replace an existingb 1gb stick.

Thanks, Its running Win 7 starter and it only has one slot available so I'll be buying a 2GB stick of ram
