    Just heard on Sky News, information is filtering through, should know more sooner rather than later.

    RTE scooped that earlier, in addition the govt are to take a 99.9% stake in AIB. They are to be recapitalised to 12% and parts of their loanbook will be sold off with a loss sharing arrangement with the Govt. All non core business will be sold. Following the process the banks themselves will be disposed of. EBS is to be quickly sold soon.

    Something I didn't notice was any talk of mergers.
