    Top Hammer Horror female lead Ingrid Pitt has died at 73. When Hammer took advantage of the relaxing of censorship in the laste 60s they unearthed a bevy of buxom beauties, fans have their own favourites but Ingrid was arguably the Queen of the late night BBC2 blood splattered babes. She also appeared in The Wicker Man, Where Eagles Dare, and a number of tv series in the 70s.

    Ah the mamories... :)

    A class act. There's a tale that when they were shooting the big finale of The Wicker Man in freezing conditions, the main cast were given coats to wear between takes. Britt Ekland would grab hers, ungraciously, Diane Cilento would take hers politely, but when Ingrid asked if the other cast members were not being given coats too, and was told no, she said that in that case she wouldn't wear hers either.
