    Hi all,

Just about to upgrade to update to 4.2 and want to jailbreak.

There's only a tethered jailbreak out at the mo.

I know that I have to re-connect it to a pc if I reboot it or it loses power. Does this mean it won't boot at all if I lose power ...as in if I'm out and about and my phone loses power will I need to connect it to a laptop to boot it?

Or does it just mean it won't be jailbroken until I connect it to a pc?

it'll be stuck at apple logo, unless its hooked up to your pc, it'll boot as normal then with out cydia working, to have cydia etc working you need to boot up using redsn0w, and pick jailbreak tethered boot from the options

i have it done, but its a balls tbh, i'd hold off till untethered jb tbh, with all the rebooting needed after some tweak installs, and alot of stuff isnt compatible yet, defo gonna downgrade back to 4.1 in the morning
