itunes music transfer

    everytime i try and put music from my library onto my ipod itunes crashes. has this happened anyone else or anyone know why and how to fix it?

    wondows 7, itunes 10.1 latest as far as i know and a 2nd gen ipod touch.
    iv only tried to transfer 50 songs or so and it crashed, there is plenty of space on the ipod also

    Crashes as in the program quits or it freezes? Does the music play correctly in iTunes? Do you have anything else running at the same time?

    ye the music plays perfectly. when i try and transfer it itunes just stops working and i get the message "itunes has stopped responding" looking for solutions.....send information to microsoft etc etc

    Sorry for piggy backing on your query, but I have a problem with my itunes library.

    I got a new laptop recently. Is there a straightforward method of transferring my itunes library to the new laptop.

    Also, is it possible to have 2 ipods working off the same itunes library - with different sets of songs?
