how to play online(virgin here!)

    ok so i said i would give my xbox one more try since i never play its,so i purchased a wireless router and black ops.im hooked up online but i cant play anyone??

    do i have to but gold membership or something first?im playing the single mode but its boring,i take it multiplayer is much better? cheers.

    You need a gold membership to play online for xbox live. You can get em quite cheap online.

    If you want to give it a try you can get a 3, 6 or 12 month xbox live voucher.

    You can buy from shops eg- gamestop, GAME, etc.

    Works out €60 a year.

    As said before, you can buy online but be safe (i'm sure your already aware.)

    Online gaming is not everyone's cup of tea.

    There are many competitive gamers online who will not have patience for "newbs/n00bs/nubes/etc".

    But the worst experience about online playing is the kids.

    I suggest you mute them, otherwise you'll wish you were infertile.

    The purpose of online play is to play with others, with or against.

    If you have any friends on your xbox account and they're playing the same game, they can send you an invite to the game they're playing and you can join in.

    Alternatively, you can go into multiplayer and teams will be selected from players all around the world. (i.e., where xbox live is available)

    I think it's the menu on the Xbox, I'm not sure. If you've already bought gold then you need to buy nothing else to play online.

    leeg got it in one the dashboard is the main menu for the xbox . when your connected to live it shows you deals news dlc etc . one of the deals was 20 percent off xbox live gold membership . but alas for good or bad you've bought it already . anyway you should go here :

    get to know some peeps the best thing about online is having that group of friends you team up with (or against;) )

    as for he ai bots.....lazyness is preventing me from getting out of bed to put in black ops so ill try and work from memory . i think you'l be heading to the main menu . then onto multiplayer . then you select search for match (possibly player match) it will open a sub menu with numerous choices and there should be a selection for some training :)
