Truly sweet looking car, and quick to boot with the weight to power ratio. Enjoy. Did you do much/any of the work on it yourself, or are you just happy to polish it! Either way, well done!!

Now that's an interior you just want to slide into.
They just don't make them like they used to.

    Beautiful. :)

Be sure to post a pic when they are on - they would be the icing on the cake. A car like that deserves chrome. :)

Just my humble opinion - its a bit of a shame to take the rubber bumbers off them - they only made 2,600 factory MGB V8's - and of those only 700 were rubber bumper. It is of course a taste thing whether you like them/can stick them or not. (you might have guessed that mine is a rubber bumper)

There's quite a bit of modification needed to swap the rubber bumpers -
    http://webspace.webring.com/people/rp/paulhird/mgb_chrome/5-1.htm

and there is more than the cosmetics - the Rubber Bumbers have different ride height, body mods on the front and rear etc etc

GO FOR IT !!!!! Whereabouts in Roscommon r u ?? I visit me daughter in Knockcrockery (Spelling???) The Pipe Place !!! I"d love to see your car. I"m big into MGs. Have a 1960 MGA that I"m restoring at the minute. Doing some great modifications -- 1800 B engine with 5 speed box etc. Full body off job -- costing me a fortune, but s--t who cares!!!. Got a YA lined up for my next one.

One for the MG heads! The rubber bumper model might have it's rarity but I'd have to agree with chrome. What a beautiful car and it's fantastic to see someone so passionate. Although it's German steel that gets me going any car, properly looked after, is a credit to it's owner

Grand car that, but the American-spec. rubber bumpers are a bit of a turn off. That said, I wouldn't say no to it!
