    Hi

    Are Sunfull Tyres any good?

Would you use them as a cheaper option to an established brand?

    thanks

Taking a hazard guess here: They are as bad if not worse as Sunny.

I've never heard of them, and that's not usually a good thing.

A quick google has them manufactured by SHANDONG HENGFENG RUBBER & PLASTIC CO

So - sounds like the other Chinese rubbish like Wanlai and Sunny. Wouldn't put them anywhere near my car, unless I was off to the track for some drifting.

Mmmmhhh .. just replaced tyres on my car today.

My advice is ... select a 'medium' priced brand name ... something you have heard of eg. hankook, dunlop, Falken, Kumho, Toyo, uniroyal etc. but not so much a 'premium' brand company that is spending money wildy on racing (Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michellin) or fancy merchandise, calenders etc. (Pirrelli, Continental) and is over-charging to get that cash back.

Pirrelli calender is worth a gawk thoooo ;-)

If you have never heard of it or it is sounds just silly eg. Sunny, Event, Goodride etc. be careful.

Phone around to a few places and record the brand names and the prices they quote. (ask for their recommendation if you are totally clueless).

    Then go onto

Eiretyres.com and Camskills.co.uk (and subtract about 5%) to see what those Tyres are costing the trade and what your guy probably paid for them himself ...so at least then you can see how much you are getting fleeced for.

The lowest margin of fleecing is your go-to-guy !!

Otherwise just buy them yourself on the web and try to get some place to to fit them.

€15 a corner to fit tyres now seems to be the going rate. It used to be €5-10. So looks like instead of lowering their prices to compete with the internet the tyres shops are charging more for fitting :-(

Tryes keep you on the road...don't skimp on cheap ones unless it's in a
    field!

    And Sunfull are cheap!!!

Never heard of them before, but google tells me they are a Turkish company.

More hits for Agricultural tyres than passenger tyres.

Wouldn't like to comment with no experience of the tyres, but if your local guy recommends them that much he'll surely have them on his car :p

I had Michelin Energy Savers fitted a few weeks ago on the Mondeo and they were worth every penny,
no road noise, unbelievable grip with no twitches or loss of grip and warm up very fast

last owner had fitted some cheap no name tyres that were very unpredictable in the wet
or on roads with sharp bends or dips and they lost pressure easily despite fitting new valves

Also not sure if it was the car or the miss match of tyres, but my last car I'd toyo proxes on the front and Sunny's on the rear,
Even though it was FWD, 3 times the rear tyres lost grip on wet roundabouts and once turing into my estate during the snow.
The last of which ended up in me spinning off dunkettle roundabout facing the wrong way and into the embankment saving me from the river ,

scary moments, I'd never buy budget brands and would have second taughts when buying a car off someone if they cut corners by buying the cheapest tyres available

Just got 2 Starmaxx tyres fitted to front of Passat. They were the only tyres he had to suit my car... he also fitted Bridgestone to my son's mondeo for the same price... Are Starmaxx rubish in comparison to Bridgestone?
