I'm at my witts end & am despirate for any assistance at this stage!
We converted the attic 2 years ago and the builder installed a Salamader Pump, as he put it and "anti-gravity pump" for the ensuite in the attic.
Ever since, we've had various problems such as air locks in the rads, hot water tank not refilling, the list goes on!
All of the above I have had various local plumbers around. The original plumber who worked on the coversion was non committal about assisting and hasn't been heard of since!?
The biggest problem I have is the pump. It's continuosly going off, that being, the motor keeps pumping, long after the bathroom facilities have been used in the attic. It triggers ever 20-30 seconds. There are no warning lights on the system, all I have is a green "N" light. I have no user manual nor can I find one on the net. I'm resorting now to unplugging the pump when not in use. Every plumber I call comes up with different reasons, no two are the same, and none have been able to resolve the problem. I'd really appreciate any assistance.

Did you ever resolve this, we are tenants and have the same problem with a pump going off all the time, we reported it too landlord, who dismissed it as Normal! NOT NORMAL!! Going off in the middle of the night, every 5 seconds!!! Any thing I can do to check whats causing it without calling a plumber as the landlord wont cover it.

Could be ballvalve in toilet not shutting off , a tap dripping or the pressure vessell on the pump needing to be pressurised or replaced . If you have a gauge for testing car type pressure you can test the vessell .

The landlord must resolve it, it's his property. Stop paying the rent or get a plumber pay him and deduct it from the rent.
