Hi,does anyone that operates one or has info on them any advice on starting one from scratch, just delivering to residential areas instead of shops.

Have being thinking about it for a while now, dont see done much, could also offer free range eggs.

the main selling point would be having fresh milk before you go to work in the morning delivered to your door.

Who would you buy the milk off and what price would you expect to pay and sell at?

would you offer the free range eggs and maybe a daily newspaper as an extra product.

how many customers would you need to have to make a profit, day a 2 litre cartoon to every customer.

doesnt seem there would be much profit out of this business??

    any advice appreciated.

Lots of bad debts in that business. I would say theres lots of other reasons all the milk men and milk floats all went out of business about 15 years ago.

Maybe you could go direct to a hardup farmer and do the old glass milk bottles with him and still do it at an equal or cheaper price then tesco cartons. I would buy that from you! Since Ireland is slipping back to the poor times of the 80's why not bring back milk bottles!!
