    Hi Folks,

Love this thread, Im 21 and am really into old japanese classics for some strange reason haha, I have a 1987 nissan sunny N13 that parents left for me (unfortunatley) :D:D thats in need of some parts mainly trim pieces and interior bits, not really a classic, quiet a dull car but getting rare now, they were everywhere only 9 years ago. If anyone knows of one of these lying about thats has evaded the scrappage scheme I would appreciate any leads, know its a long shot but its worth a try posting here. I would recommend summerhill spares in dublin to get some parts for older cars as I may be able to get two doors from them that they have in storage.

    Picture of car included

Keep up the great posts !!!

    Bryan

Good choice of car! Don't worry, you're not the only one here who's into dodgy 80's Japanese cars, I'm also a big fan of them myself! :)

You could try this guy: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scrawb/

    He has a few: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scrawb/4394145525/ & http://www.flickr.com/photos/scrawb/4335033497/

You have to contact him via Flickr. He usual replies back in a day or so. If the cars haven't been crushed yet, you can order whatever you need from him. I got my fuel tank for my Escort from him.

I bought a 1991 one model in 1996, the best car I ever bought, kept it 11 years and only got rid of it as there were no seatbelts in back and kids were growing and needed belting in etc....I done the clutch on it and it really wasnt too bad, but was worth doing as car was ultra reliable..mine had the colour coded bumpers and spoiler, mine was red (red now not maroon or purple or anything) 1.4 petrol, so easy on petrol, I done the carburetor hoses etc. and minor stuff, clutch was biggest job ever done....cv boots was one little minus against them and of course no power steering, but when you werent used to it you didnt notice...at one stage the battery was almost completely gone, wouldnt charge etc..if you left radio on for 5 mins without engine running, you had to give it a gentle push off, jump back in stick car in 3rd gear..vroom...away it went..., but a great car...I bought mine for £5,200 Irish pound, had it 11 years and sold it for £1,200, a foreign chap bought it and sped off into the autumn sunshine in 2007, I knew that car would never be cared for as i did for it...
