    Must be a relatively recent thing. I've been to the States two or three times a year for the last five. Worst thing that ever happened was being asked to take my coat and shoes off and put them through the scanner.

    Last week or the week before, Adam Savage of Mythbusters went through TSA with 12" razor blades on his person. He was able to get on the plane, fly to his destination, and get off before he realized they were there (youtube clip here).

    This week, a 52-year-old ex-Playboy model went through TSA wearing nothing but a black lace bra and panties because she hated getting patted down every time her wheelchair set off the metal detector.

    She got searched. Twice.

    What the hell is the point in security at all if some dude who blows things up for a living gets onto a plane with two 12" razor blades, and some woman who's essentially naked in a wheelchair gets searched twice?

    It's all downhill from here. :(
