Looking to get to Cork Airport for 9am tomorrow. Assumed there were lots of buses in that direction.

    There is sweet fa.

Parking for the length of time needed in the car park if the car needs to be taken down there will be over €200.

    Anyone with any ideas?

That's what I started thinking. Aircoach won't make it. Neither will BE.

'fraid that my best suggestion is prayer that someone on boards is making the trip and offers you a lift.

    Sorry :-(

.. Just had one last thought: there's a train from Heuston at 9pm, gets to Cork Kent at midnight. But you won't make it now

Drive down. Park in a hotel car park. Get a taxi or bus from there.

You didn't mention how long you would be parking for if you end up driving down...the cheapest parking is EUR34 per week on this website
    www.airportparkingsite.ie
If you could even get a lift as far as Limerick there's a bus at 07.25, getting into Cork Bus station at 09.15. If you get a taxi from there you should be at the airport at around 9.30 - not sure if that would be too late for you.
Hopefully you'll find someone to get a lift from though...good luck :)

If you drive down I may be able to sort parking for you in the Wilton area.

    PM on the way.

Thank you all for transport suggestions but buses or trains are all out.

It isn't actually me making the journey, it's my brother.

That's a very decent offer to get.

I hope that at some stage he'll get a similar offer from someone in return.

    No, Paris.

Works at a trade and his company pulled him from Terminal 2 in Dublin Airport to send him to work on something Paris until Xmas. Fairly random and although he wasn't too impressed at first, he has seen the upside of it since then.

twowheelsonly met my brother on the north side of Cork, led him down to the Wilton area, helping him to avoid the traffic and then showed him where to leave the car, before dropping him and the two other lads down to the airport.

They landed in Paris a few mins ago. Boards FTW!

Found an apparently abandoned Galway Reg car in my folks place this morning..
    Anyone wanna buy??? :D
Some people are soooooo trusting!!! lol

The lads got away handy enough anyway and ended up in the Airport probably half an hour too early!! Traffic was a bit mad this morning - if they were to follow the signposted route from Limerick they probably would have been scraping it to put it mildly.
You can tell them that payback is gonna be a bitch :P.

I'm in s**t form today; sick of banks and this IMF crap, and what you've done has put a smile on my face.

    Thanks!
