Is NIB relatively safe for the foreseeable future does anyone know and if it does get nationalised or wound up whats the story with shares if you use them as your broker, shares in question are UK AIM if that makes any difference.

Excellent thanks, while Im here though could you tell me what effect a bank or Euro collapse could have on my ownership of UK shares if my broker goes under? Whats the law there?

Well the shares are still your's no mater what happens to the bank or euro
    until you sell then.
If the bank went under I would think you would need to get another broker to claim the shares for you.

It depends on how the broker holds your shares. Segregated accounts are a must, and im sure they would.
