Currently building new house in Dublin and looking for plumber- can you advise if i should be looking for an RGII registered installer for the gas heating, but if their any equvalent for the other plumbing work I should look out for when talking to plumbers? I ideally want somebody to do the complete heating including supply of all materials/ boilers/ Thermomax solar and also do all the bathroom/ kitchen plumbing

    Cheers

If there is gas involved get someone that is RGI reg and if you are applying for solar grant get somone that has the appropriate course done to sign it off.
ALot of plumbers have both certs now anyway.

+1 See the SEAI web site for approved solar installers.
Many are only registered for Solar works.
So also see HES Scheme section then see if which contractors do heating upgrades they may also do general plumbing. It is important that they are fully conversant with the requirements of the electrical controls.

IMO You are better off getting one main plumbing contractor then he can't blame anyone else if the systems do not work together properly..

But as always get a few quotes/ opinions and ensure they are quoting like for like.

Also word of mouth and referalls are the best refrences. See previous works...... there are many contractors ( all trades) out there...shop around.
