I see from the website that Anthony Clarke is playing in the Irish International this year. Teaming up with Chris Langridge in the mens doubles. Worth the entry fee just to see him playing I reckon!

Did anyone else go along to this? What did you make of it?

I thought overall it was a good event. Mens singles final was excellent.

Anthony Clark looked a bit below par. He was brilliant against the weaker opponents but in the final it really showed that a good pair will beat 2 good individuals any time.

Good to see some of the Irish doing well with Chloe Magee getting to the semis in the singles and Chloe & Sam Magee also getting to the semi finals in the Mixed doubles.

Its a pity more people don't support this event. A large crowd and a bit of atmosphere would make this a great event.

Repo, I agree with you that it is a pity that more spectators don't show some support for this event.
The standard of play at this event is very high.

Many people make the trip to the All Englands and it is great to see the top players and experience the atmosphere from the big event but in my own view you will never get to see top level badminton as close up as you will at the Irish International.
I think any keen badminton person should make an effort to get to the Irish International next year and it's so easy to travel to now.

I was there on the Saturday so missed that mens singles final, i heard it was top class.
