Stunning episode.Excellent character development... Has anyone else seen the preview for next week? They're doing "dog days are over" by Florence + The Machine! So pumped!

The cermony performance was definitely the musical highlight of the episode, but I'd agree the biggest thing about this episode is that it moves the chains of alot of hanging storylines forward and sets up next week's sectionals very well - the performances next week should be a real treat.

I liked that they went back to the issue of Finn sleeping with Santana I'm sure Rachel will find out soon and will that be end of "Finchel"

Chris is doing a excellent job in his portrayal of Kurt even though the show lately is featuring him as the main character

Poor Mercedes is getting less and less screentime every week even Mike gets more lines that her now. I hope she gets a storyline and even a love interest. I still dont like Sam.

I liked that they moved things along a good bit in this episode. Loved Sue's no-nonsense approach to bullying. Her wedding dress was pretty fantastic too. Didn't really like how they paid "homage" to yet another viral video with the wedding entrance. I guess that's just me being finicky.

Wedding ceremony was nice and I liked Kurt's bid for freedom. I haven't been keeping up with my plot spoilers so I don't know if he will really leave McKinley but it could be interesting if he competes against them.

It was, but very, very cheesy at times - especially the 'promise ring' scene . Also, why was everyone irritated that Finn didn't beat up the bully when he wasn't in the locker room? That was really odd. And I still can't stand Rachel this season

Amazing. Definitely the best episode of this second season. Loved Sue's wedding tracksuit :D

I found it pretty average, no way as good as last week. For me Glee is and should be about ENTERTAINMENT, i want to sit back, smile, laugh and enjoy the music. I'm not interested in being "educated" in tolerance or pushing a POV on me, it's not a after school special.

I did like that they redressed the Finn/Santana plotline from last season, that'll blow up in Finn's face quiet nicely. I'm also glad Kurt addressed Sue calling him "lady", as he said it is bullying...she's the biggest bully on the show!

So why is it OK for Sue to bully but she smacks down the fat closet gay kid?, ooh but Sue is funny with her jibes and bullying - that's OK then.

I'd like to move away from this Kurt plotline, or at least lets see more of closet jocks guy story, he's hurting, he's acting out...that's not defending his actions but i'd like to see Ryan Murphy put his character's POV across as well.

IMO Glee, for me, works best when it's just about laughs, music and entertainment and not about Ryan Murphy revisiting his past demons from his high school years.

I thought the episode was average. I'm glad they addressed the bullying and I liked Sue's approach (even though she's a terrible bully herself) but it does come down to entertainment. I loved her deadpan "I'm sorry I thought that was your name" line. I only knew one of the songs (Sway). Carol Burnett added nothing the episode and the whole Sue marrying herself thing was ridiculous.

Cheers, i'd never know about these viral "nods" if it wasn't for you :)
    I guess Ryan Murphy is a YT w*ore! :D

I know glee is not the most realistic show on tv but how was kurts dad not only allowed on school grounds during the day but was allowed assault a student? I don't expect 100% authenticity but in any reality you would be arrested for assaulting a minor. Also why did he have a problem with sue calling him lady but not with finn singing a song that called him a girl.

i am sick of f*cking kurt and his drama give the other characters a chance

santana looked way hot in her red dress

sue wedding herself with just her sister and mother yet she sent out lots of invites - stupid!

Agree with this. Like Sue's wedding to herself, this was surreal, bizarre, kind of hilarious.
Yet the whole wedding theme, and 'you taught me what it is to be a man' cliches, oh please. And Kurt, can there be a wetter, drippier character on TV? (next to Emma in Glee of course). He seems always to be either weeping, or on the verge of tears.
This episode had the usual mix of cringe and genius.

That was only the rehearsal they were at. Sue mentions it during the scene.:)

That's very true actually, Kurt always seems to be teary-eyed. I'm trying to think back to the original episodes, I'm sure he was a lot more positive and bad-ass back then. Wish he would regain a little confidence. Maybe leaving the school will give him a boost.

It'd be a thousand times more unrealistic if he was being harassed by a man mountain and it took no toll on him, indeed the progression of that storyline has been well paced and believable.

Christ on a bike, is every analysis of any episode that features Kurt in anyway going to come down to "Ryan Murphy's agenda"? Its getting seriously old at this stage. The bullying storyline is well-paced and very realistic. If people simply want "entertainment" may I suggest Jackass or something equally mindless? Glee is an american TV show aimed primarily at teens. Why the hell shouldn't there be a message? If you don't like it turn it off ffs. It'd certainly fare you better than pissing and moaning about it on the internet.

    Back on topic:

An ok episode. Was delighted to see Carol Burnett as Sue's mother. Fabulous casting and her solo was fantastic. She certainly still has it :)

I thought the turn the bullying storyline took was really good. The fear was very believable and the bully was very threatening when he took the wedding cake topper. He seemed sexually menacing. Kurt switching schools is interesting. I hope he doesn't go through with it.

Interesting lack of Mercedes. Perhaps Amber Riley was ill during the filming as she barely spoke, nevermind sang.

The lack of mention for sectionals has been kind of annoying me tbh. There seems to be very little focus on the competition itself.

Oh also, I could be way, way off but something popped into my head when Sam went for the bully. I instantly thought
steroids. His focus on being the most popular, the exercising despite being advised not to due to injury and the promise ring stuff with Quinn so soon, all seems a bit off.

I know its your opinion and whatnot, but I really don't think Kurts storyline has anything to do with Ryan Murphy's 'past demons'. Chris Colfer is one of the breakout stars of glee, it is only natural that he gets more screentime this season. Factor in the fact that Glee has a huge gay fanbase who can probably relate in some way to Kurt, I don't see anything wrong with the storyline.

If you have a big problem with gay people being onscreen, which I'm guessing you do, you probably shouldn't watch Glee, since it is the campest show on mainstream television.

No my issue these these storylines are boring and dragging down the show.

I didn't interpret the comments as anti-gay, I think this is being over-sensitive. In fact, I don't think Kurt is a particulary positive portrayal of a gay character, he is almost always the victim, he is constantly on the verge of tears, and he gives the impression that being gay is simply one long trial. Also, he is a stereotype, which is surprising given that Ryan Murphy himself is gay. I mean, a stack of wedding magazines under his be since he was...what.....8? Please.
Though I will say that the storyline about his tormentor being himself in denial about his own homosexuality, has some potential.

The whole concept of the show is that they're all on some level over-blown stereotypes. I don't know how so many people miss that.

Jeez. Why does every thread on here end up turning into a gay debate?

Anyway, I really liked this episode. I think the last 2 or 3 have been great, I'm really enjoying glee again now.

I found the Sue wedding scene hilarious. I think the more we learn about her, makes us understand why she's Sue.

@Richard Dower: Seriously, just don't. We literally just had a 6 page debate on this.

Personally I think Kurts been good, fairly shocked he's leaving though. I think its good to kind of see the difficult parts of being a gay teenager (bullying/isolation/alienation) that are so rarely shown on TV.

However, I think Sue is getting too soft! She doesn't have nearly as many witty lines :p

Only got round to watching it now. What is it with the tears! I'm sobbing away at the wedding scene! Sad Kurt is moving schools tho :(
