I have arranged a meeting with a business advisor in the coming days as me and a colleague are looking for advice on how to establish a start up and possibly apply for grant funding. I am just wondering has anyone had a meeting like this before and is their anything in particular they will want to see?

    Any help is much appreciated!

I'm guessing its a business advisor from a county enterprise board or another similar. I'm sure they'd appreciate if you had documented some sort of basic business plan letting them know what you plan to do. Projected costs, expected sales ect.. .

had a similar meeting like that last week. Went very well. Basically wanted to hear about the idea and what exp you as an individual bring to the business venture. Its informal. If your idea is perceived as a venture which could be successful the advisor will move you on to the next level. It is at this next level stage where you will need business plans etc. Always good to get an impartial independent view. Bring any info you have to the meeting to outline your business
