    Hacker Pro.
I love this perk just as much as Flak Jacket. If you look through websites and wikis, there is few details on its powers. Here is my info for your education.

    Simples:
Ability: Allows you to see enemy explosives, equipment and Tactical Insertions. The equipment will be highlighted in a red overlay color.
Pro Ability: Allows you to sabotage enemy Care Packages and also turn enemy equipment friendly. This also makes you invisible to Motion Sensors.

Most perks + pro perk have three abilities, Hacker has four - One taken from SitRep [MW2] one from Ninja [MW2] and two that are new.

The SitRep part - Enemy dangers
    • See enemy equipment as red and through obstacles. This allows you to not only identify dangers, what exactly the dangers are, but they can also hint the location of an enemy when they place a piece of equipment. You may get lucky and see a bright red light appear indicating exactly the location of an enemy. Still, players do not wander too much from their motion sensors, claymores and c4 so brainwaves may be used. Flashes and Stuns may be still required to safely navigate doorways however.
Works on Claymores, Camera Spikes, C4, Jammers, Tac Inserts and Motion Sensors.
    • You can spot enemy turrets through walls and are very hard to miss. A bit of an upgrade from MW2, but it works. It can help you decide if walking through that door is necessary, or if now would be the best time for your gunship. Co-ordination with your team can ensure a swift destruction.
      Works on SAMs & Sentrys.
Ninja part [Pro]- Invisible to Motion Sensors
Motions Sensors are the new heartbeats. Motion Sensors are one of the most useful equipment in the game. They allow a constant production of additional info on your mini-map with a 360' angle and are very useful to campers and point holders assuming they have a 'clear sky'.
Invisibility to said devices combined with the knowledge of where one is located allows a stealthy exploitation of an open defence. An enemy will be more likely to turn around if they have a Motion Sensor behind them 'covering' their back.

    Care Package Hax[Pro]- New
Blacks Ops have an increased importance of Care Packages.
    • There are four killsteaks that arrive in Care Packages: SAM, Sentry, Valkire and the actual Care Package.
    • There are two uber weapons that are Care Package only.
    • There is a perk designed on Care Packages.
This ability is a corresponding counter.

    Ability:
If you see an enemy Care Package, you would usually kill the enemy and try steal their reward. This ability enhances your cruelty. Not only do you take their Killstreak/Ammo, but you set a bomb inside as well. You may leave/die as you wish, but the evil Care Package will remain. When said enemy attempts to reap their reward, the package will explode (like a frag) at the last second, killing they enemy and those nearby.
To you, when you plant the explosive, the Care Package will get a makeover, turning red and black with some nice skulls on it. It will be removed from your map. To them, nothing will change. Care Package stays same colour and remains on map until the boom.

    Equipment Hijack[Pro] - New
The second most useful ability in this perk, and most satisfying to pull off. Re-read the list in SitRep, all items are effected by this. You can steal these precious pieces of equipment from the enemy and make them your own.

    Ability:
Using the SitRep abilty, you identify an item. Lets take a SAM turret for example. You approach a SAM. Instead of destroying it, you may hold the action button. A timer (similar to the receiving Care Package one) is on screen. When finished, the SAM will malfunction as if it were destroyed or jammed and few seconds later, said SAM will come back online and will act as if it was owned by you. It is important to note that it cannot be picked up and be replaced.
Works on SAMs, Sentrys, Claymores, Camera Spikes, C4, Jammers, Tac Inserts and Motion Sensors.
The owner will not be notified of the change and will most likely assume no change. This may result in:
    • Enemy unable to spawn at a Tac Insert
    • Equipment becoming unexpectantly jammed
    • Tripping own claymores
    • Entire team slaughtered by Sentry
    • Fun
It is important to not that equipmet will vanish if the owner dies and respawns, even while you are hacking. This means that it may be work your time waiting to kill a camper until after a successful hack, or leaving them an interesting killcam. In S&D and Capture the Flag, it is not as much of an issue.

Make what you will of the perk. I think it is awesome and the new abilities make up for Ninja receiving SitRep Pro's sound ability. If you like it, use it but keep the details to yourself, we do not want everyone using it :)

    Help with the nitty gritty.
There are a few untold answers out there that I intend to find eventually. I like my game mechanics and it is only a matter of time. (I also like the list function).
    • I am unsure if 'acquired' equipment stays until you die, or if there is a time limit
    • There is a limit of one owned Motion Sensor in play at a time. (Acquirable by care package ammo crate, may extend to other equipment too). This may indicate that there is a limit to the number of acquired equipment.
    • C4 can be detonated with double action. May conflict with Hardline Pro?
    • Cameras. Unsure here what happens. I do not think you can switch off the hacked vision. I am interested to know what happens when you have multiple cameras.
    • Hacked Motion Sensors may have different pulses, could this make a 'better than Recon' system?
    • Unsure how a SAM's or Sentry's lifespan is effected.
    • Are frags and semtex identifiable like in MW2?
    • Can you play tennis with a piece of equipment's ownership?
    • Does the Care Package Bomb add to killstreaks?
Any above info would be appreciated.

given the ammount of care package nicking that ive indulged in leaving them behind as bombs would certainly be handy . does it cause it to blow up for anyone if they try and take it or only the player owning it ?

It blows up after anyone tries it, not just the owner.

I used Ninja at first but when i prestiged i swapped to Hacker, it is fantastic. The pro is brilliant, hacking claymores is very helpful. Though the care packages are the most satisfying. :D

Can't wait to unlock the pro for this, only have a few more kills with the jammer to go.

Can I ask why you love Flak Jacket so much?

'Nades are everywhere and Warlord Pro + Scav make them plentiful on Domination points and Bombsites. Knowing that a frag cannot kill you (explosive damage is capped with Flak) is a huge relief. Planting and defusing are vital in some game modes and said perk helps a lot.

It also means that if a grenade is thrown around a corner at you, you have the upper hand. You know where the enemy is before the enemy recovers from tossing a grenade and receives a hitmarker. You may have less health, but the time difference is in your favour. And, if you do not want to engage, you could just toss it back at them for a nice surprise.

Fire resistance isn't that useful as flamers are uncommon. I think it may have some resistance to napalm firm on the ground as I did not die from running across it.

Also, motion sensor kills are easier than jammer as jammed enemies are more alert to their surroundings.

I hadn't realised how useful this could be. I'll definitely go for hacker pro this week if I get the time.

Nice piece. Using hacker all weekend and need a few motion censor kills before unlocking pro but it's been pretty handy so far. No thing else stands out to replace it. Don't find ninja as useful as I would have for MW.

Don't know if i could give up my scavenger pro for flak - haven't tried flak yet but I'm one of the mass frag throwers with warlord pro. I just love my random grenade kills. :)

    ColoRC ;)

Flak Jacket is easily the best perk in that group for me. I only started using it recently but I find it hard to play without it now as you practically never die from explosives unless it's a direct hit. It's a stone cold must have if you're playing demolition.

Having it selected along with Hardened and Hacker makes getting killed by explosives a rare event.

So far I've used hacker pro, ninja pro, and marathon pro from that group and I have to say that marathon is the best for me at the moment. The games are too fast paced to be arsing around with hacker imho, and ninja is just broken at the moment.

Nice post , just on the care package point - if you hack an enemies care package can one of your own team mates still hijack it or will it be shown to your own team that it has been hacked ?

They will see it as a blank care package with the hacked skin on it. It will not even show up on the map for them.

Should be able to go pro with this tonight. I didn't realise you obtained the care package and booby trapped it at the same time, because I was thinking - "which is more beneficial, booby trapping it or taking it". Now I know you do both.

Also trying for hardline pro - people are cautious when I say "go on, take my care package!", as if I'm gonna blow 'em away if they do!

Apologises for last night, completely blanked when you asked me how to throw c4's that despite me using them regularly for the past few years in COD :pac: They are very easy to use mate.

Hate claymores too, though I did use them quite a bit in MW2*

Flak Jacket is fantastic for S&D and Demolition; but for other gametypes, Hardline Pro is the one for me. Hacker is amazing, didn't bother with it much on my first playthrough, but I've been using it a lot on my first prestige. Warlord Pro aswell, those extra sticky 'nades are too much fun :)

Gonna go for Hacker Pro this week, good few Claymore kills left to get and haven't started using the motion sensor yet but I'm gonna get stuck into it when I get home

Hmmm, must look into this. I ams a sneaky fooks I ams...so I love getting the "break the keyboard rage kills instead of a famas to the head"

    Me likey....Me likey alot!

And lets face it when you are PRESTIGED you really should have a few tricks up your sleeve. ;)

Knowing that a frag cannot kill you (explosive damage is capped with Flak) is a huge relief.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but I have been killed by frag grenades (I think, it could've been Semtex) from full health (assuming no blood on the screen always means 100% health) while using Flak Jacket - the grenades did land right at my feet though :P

I'm kinda debating if I'll ever bother getting Hacker to Pro though (mainly because I'd have to go to the trouble of fulfilling that second requirement, I'm well on my way to 25 claymore/C4 kills :D) - the bonuses are pretty awesome, but I tend to take out claymores through walls since there is, more often than not in my experience, some enemy standing in the blast radius and I would think that killing someone with their own claymore, through a wall, is more satisfying than turning it against them. And I'm kinda crap at stealing Care Packages (so I just aim to knock the heli out with the Strela instead) :pac:

The same as a normal claymore under your control.

I ran a few tests today in game and it seems that it is not possible to have your own MS and a hacked one in play at the same time, which is a recent change...
